Hello, my name is Eric Sheerin, and I’m a Principal and Senior Advisor at Dogwood Wealth Management.
For the past 20 years, I’ve spent most of my career focused on business development, marketing, relationship management, and investment management. Before co-founding Dogwood, I was one of the founding partners of a local RIA that was eventually acquired by private equity.
One of the things I enjoy most about this business is that it’s always changing. The financial services industry continues to evolve, and that keeps the work interesting. More importantly, I truly enjoy helping people bring structure and intentionality to their financial lives. It’s a privilege to walk alongside clients as they make important decisions for themselves and their families.
I’m also grateful for the team we have at Dogwood. I’m fortunate to have a great business partner in Jason Newcomer, and together we’ve built a firm with a strong sense of purpose, teamwork, and shared responsibility. That makes the day-to-day work not only meaningful, but enjoyable.
At the end of the day, I believe one of the greatest values we can offer clients is peace of mind. We help handle the planning, the numbers, and the financial details so they can focus on what matters most in their lives.
Dogwood is in an exciting season of growth, but we don’t take that lightly. Growth brings responsibility, and our priority remains taking care of the clients who have placed their trust in us. The same fundamentals that helped us grow — doing the right things consistently, staying focused on clients, and taking care of the details — will continue to guide us moving forward. I live in Shawnee Kansas with My wife Sarah and our four children. I am an active member of Sacred Heart of Jesus in Shawnee, and I serve on the board of Directors of Sunflower House, a child advocacy and abuse prevention center. Sarah and I are passionate about giving back and proudly support organizations such as Sunflower House, Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas, Ronald McDonald House and Children’s Mercy Hospital.
In my free time, I most enjoy spending quality time with my family.
