I graduated from the University of Missouri with a Master’s in Accounting in 2011 and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2012. My interest in accounting started young — as a little girl, I loved helping my dad organize his tax documents before he handed them off to his CPA. That early experience, combined with my love for numbers, set me on the path to becoming a CPA myself.
I began my career in public accounting as an auditor, where I spent the first three years learning the ins and outs of the profession. For 10 years, I worked at a law firm specializing in tax and accounting matters. I was fortunate to have an incredible mentor there who not only guided me professionally but also shared life lessons I carry with me every day. One of his best pieces of advice was: “At the end of the day, people will always care the most about their individual tax return.” That mindset shaped how I approach my work — with empathy, clarity, and a desire to help people feel confident about their tax situation.
I live in Kansas City, Missouri, with my husband Zack — my high school sweetheart — and our three amazing kids: Knox, Nash, and Nora. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me cheering on the sidelines at one of their many sports events.
